Sky not helping

I have returned to my home country and sent an email to sky saying I no longer needed the broadband. Paid for the month when I left but now keep getting messages saying my service is suspended until payment is made including a missed payment charge how long will they keep adding new charges before they give up and write off the debt

@Oksana5  they will never give up, you gone about this the wrong way as sky doesn't use email as a communication route

you either needed to have written a physical letter addressed to the address detailed in your terms and conditions or the quickest route would have been to phone sky before you moved back home

@Oksana5 They won't give up and right off the debt, you should have given the correct notice to cancel, by not doing so your services are still active and the debt will just increase and eventually lead to a debt collection company being involved and, they will of course add their fees making the bill larger.

You need to find a way of contacting Sky and actually cancel the service, you may be able to contact them via their social media pages but it will almost certainly require a phone call to action the cancellation.

@Oksana5

In addition you presumably haven't returned your broadband hub to Sky. Packaging is sent to the account address during the notice period of a cancellation. You therefore risk having to pay charges for non return of any loaned equipment Sky are expecting back.

As stated, you should have done all this in advance of leaving the country.

Why would any company choose to do so?
