Sky max pod not working correctly

Hi I have a brand new Sky Max pod and it appears to have a poor connection but under 20 ft away from the router. I have done numerous reboots, reduced the router security level and checked all settings but with poor results.

I also think my sky q box is connecting via the pod and is causing it to constantly drop connection.

Could this be a faulty pod? Can I get a replacement?

@Gromit247 if there are solid walls between the hub and the pod it is likely it simply is not getting enough signal to operate properly. Move the pod to a different location typically in a hall or landing where dorrways allow better signal level.

Many thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, there are no solid walls and I have already done exactly that- moved to open hall etc, but no joy.
