Sky max hub without the subscription

Hi, so I recently got a sky max hub but not through sky itself, set it up and it's all working perfectly improving my WiFi over the standard 4.2 hub as you'd expect, I'd like to port forward but obviously with that bit being in the app I can't get to the settings, is it still possible for sky to link the hub to my account? Because I also noticed the software is an older version on the hub and would need sky to push the update too.

many thanks,

Phil

Re: Sky max hub without the subscription

I am guessing you got it from Ebay 😁 Maybe that would explain why there are so many Sky max hub selling on ebay.

My understanding is the functions only unlock if you pay for the Wi-Fi Max service.

But you unlikely to get any assistance here because Sky max hub is only rented to customers and should be returned when not paying for the service.... 😊

As @Sayek says, you won't ever see the Hub administration settings section populate into the My Sky app when the Max Hub hasn't come from Sky.  Given you've inadvertently acquired stolen goods, Sky aren't going to offer much in the way of support....
