I will ring them up if needed.

Sky don't make it easy to find a contact number with there maze of online help.

Wish I could them before 8am I start work at 9am calling them is never quick.

Morning so my router is still not connecting to the internet.

But how do I get to chat to anyone contact us just leads me to the help pages no online chat my preferred option or phone number

@will28 Way too early the lines don't open up until 8am onwards so no one how or out there PJ's yet for home working!

Oh I know, just I'll only half hour at best to talk to them or will have to wait till after work so to save time I was just looking for the info ready to call

So got an engineer coming out, they did a line test and claim it's an internal wiring issue...I hope that's what it is?!

@will28 If it's a sky BB Tech they will have all the tools to check the internal with no problems for you, had one many years ago going to say at least 5/6 and one at my dad's 2 years ago, both where very competent and on mine which was a noise / phone problem fttc but not sogea at the time did take OR to come sort bad cable connection on a ground box 100M from the home. Just an added delay for you till one arrives.

 

With the fact you have a G.Fast Master socket fitted, surprised that you have an Internal wiring issue especially if you had the 150Mb/s on EE with zero speed issue's at all!

No since the master socket was installed ready for EE I had no issue. Just since I switched away.

Oh it's a bb tech is that someone from open reach then. Guess they'll check from my internal wiring to the cabinet for an issue that is causing my problem and hopefully fix it same day?

@will28 OR will do it all outside and up to your G.Fast master socket, internal should all be dead anyway if you are on a sogea connection, do you have a landline phone that is connected into the back off the hub, or are you just not using the landline!

 

Sky have there own Engineers and depending on what they are licensed to do will determine where they can go!

What's sogea? What ever the issue they should be able to fix it on the day I hope?

Not got a phone pulled into the router but I could have if I wanted to, didn't see the point since I have a mobile phone it's the same thing, and will work in a power cut I think.

@will28 SOGEA is the new delivery service that OR apply and connection type, you are just going to have to wait and see who has caused the issue that you have now!

Just to end this topic, the engineer came out today long story short the first non open reach engineer basically didn't do any of the work correctly at the cabinet anyway its all working now happy days.

 

One last question but optional to answer and not important..is there anyway to turn the white connected light off on the max router? On the EE router you could dim or turn the light off lol.

@will28 That would be because G.Fast the Engineer contractor would not have a clue about it, but the OR Engineer new what he was about, You had to be down graded back to 80/20 split, as for the light no idea have not a clue about the sky Max hub, so not even aware if it features like what you would want regarding the operation that the EE did couple pieces opaque tape will dim it well down for you or a small sticky white dot label!
