Sky hub 4.2

My name is Syed Ali. I am a Sky VIP customer. I am having my Sky fibre fitted on 14 January 2025. I have been told that I will receive a sky hub 4.2 for my internet use. I would like to know why as a vip customer I have not received the sky hub 6.0 which is what I really need. Pls can you get back to me before the installation date of 14 January 2025. Thank you

Are you an existing  sky broadband customer?

What speed have you taken out?

Do you or have you had sky q?

Re: Sky hub 4.2

We are also being sent a hub 4.2 and this is with Fibre 300 being moved up from Ultrafast 1 (G.Fast).

Sky still appears to be sending Broadband Hubs to upgraders.  Yours will probably be a swap from an SR204 (with a G.fast modem) to a standard SR203.

Re: Sky hub 4.2

Correct. We are now activated using the new hub. The SR204 would not work, the Openreach engineer tested the WAN port and had suspicions it was just a normal gigabit port.

As soon as we swapped to the SR203 the WAN port was able to communicate with the ONT.

We are really impressed with the speed , but Sky Q mesh limits us to 180Mbps on Wi-Fi.

With the Q boxes off we get 300Mbps.
