Sky claim i can't get fibre but my neighbour can

I how someone can help me. I'm at the end of my tether with sky.  According to sky I can't get fibre broadband as it isn't available in my area. However if I go in as a new customer using my neighbours address it tells me I can get up to ultrafast. I have so far spoken to 8 people and no one will give me a straight answer.

Has anyone dealt with this previously

You are right it is available. Thought it might be due to difference between the properties. Sky is notoriously slow in picking up when fttp is rolled out.  If that was your own address you entered and not your neighbours then other isp's may get you connected to fttp

More than that it is the only service available to new subscribers. IE superfast fttc must be in stop sell status

Re: Sky claim i can't get fibre but my neighbour can

Thanks for your help with this.

That is my address.  When i entered my neighbours it was the same results.

When I go into the sky website as a new customer it tells me I can get fibre but as an existing customer I can't.

Is there anyway for sky to check or to push for access to the fibre network for my property. The advice I got from sky was to go to virgin

@MuchstuffYou would be best giving Sky a call to get this seen to and explain this to them about if you happen to be a new customer.

If someone has helped give them Like.

If you have found this solution helpful please tick this as the answer.

I tried that but i gave up after speaking to the 8th person unfortunately.  They all keep telling me something different then passing me on to someone else. While trying to sell me a new TV package.

Re: Sky claim i can't get fibre but my neighbour can

I'm going to have to move. I'm more worried about my email.  I've been a customer for so long that I'm signed up to almost everything with my sky email and they told me that I will lose access to my email when my notice period expires so on day 31

Tv and broadband shouldn't be this stressful.

Hi @Muchstuff

I am not aware of anyone losing access to Sky mail once they leave Sky, you should retain access to it
