We have had sky broadband for a while now. However in the last year, the speed on speed checked says exactly the same every day etc. however we struggle to have decent WiFi on any device connected.
we have tried every options to reset the WiFi and move the box etc as the website says and still the same issue.
We can't even upgrade to a better broadband speed. Now sky are putting prices up. Why can't we get better internet when other suppliers can offer speed and fibre broadband at a lot higher speeds at lower prices.

The 34999 inbound speed would typically indicate an FTTC connection being automatically capped by Openreach DLM because of adverse line conditions being detected.

Find out more@helpwouldbenice your connection at 35Mb/s is not great and could be higher so its worth running the connection test in the My Sky app to see if it will book an engineer to check the line if it diesnt it is worth calling Sky and asking for that to be done.
However that is probably not the reason why your smart TV is not working. All of your devices use wifi to connect which can often becfar slower than the connection spedd to the hub. There are things you can do yourself like making sure the Hub is out in the open above things that block the signal like radiators etc. Wifi speeds are affected by the type of construction of your home - solid walls and foil faced insulation are a nightmare - the amount of interference from your neighbours and simple distance. Many people find a single free Sky hub is insufficent to provide decent wifi through out their home so buy third party kit.
The one type of issue that might be helped by a faster connection to the hub is where you have multiple members of the family online at once.
