Hi @sedur @ExtraNerdy @aelst+the+goblin @notdavethen @domabbott92

Thanks for your patience whilst we worked through this problem.

Our engineers have been working on the problem and have implemented a change. Can you check to see whether this has worked for you, please?

Re: Sky blocking traffic to bitbucket

@KevNewMedia

seems to be better now, working without override.

Any chance of a post-incident review - blocking a pretty standard business service gives me concerns if I'm honest.

Thank you for the quick reply and confirming that it's working for you @ExtraNerdy!

I'm afraid we aren't able to share that information.

Thanks

Sorry to sound flippant but we just need to take it on trust you won't block google docs next week and microsoft365 the week after?

@ExtraNerdy

I think the argument from Sky would be that while it's OK to use their domestic broadband for professional purposes, there shouldn't be any expectation of additional support (including published incident reviews)

Re: Sky blocking traffic to bitbucket

Yeah I wouldn't expect the full PIR @TimmyBGood youre right.

just something like "we were trying to block x but it was too broad"

I have lost a lot of time to this this week and just want some sense it will be a one-off

Re: Sky blocking traffic to bitbucket

Good Afternoon @KevNewMedia,
It appears to be working at the moment, thank you.

WRT @ExtraNerdy's points, I don't really see the value in a public after action report. Given that the engineers appear to have addressed the problem, I would like to say thank you for doing so.

However, I would believe that Sky is definitely in breach of our contract if it were to start restricting access to legitimate services for no reason. That is regardless of whether I am using these services for professional or non-professional reasons.
While it wouldn't be worth going to court over, I could certainly understand why people would choose to vote with their feet, if Sky were to disregard ensuring the quality of its products.

What I am concerned about is that I would expect Sky to have standards and processes in place that ensured this type of issue did not happen at all. Clearly it has. Would going through the complaints procedure give the necesarry motivation to see that this issue doesn't occur again, or would Sky be happy to give their customers the confidence that we should worry no-longer?

Many thanks
