I just contacted my webhosting service as I keep getting "server stopped responding" error messages when trying to send/receive or trying to log on to webmail when connected to Sky broadband. It's fine when I'm on mobile data. They said it's Sky blocking the server - what are my options? We work from home a lot so this is really messing my day up!

Myself and my wife are now having the same issue.
Our webmail is now being blocked completely, we're both able to access via 5G with no issue.
After several days of phone calls we managed to find out our ip address had been blacklisted (for no reason that we're aware of). There are websites you can check it on if you google. We then had to apply for it to be taken off, waited a few hours then everything was back to normal. Hope this helps!
Did you have to get Sky to take it off?
Looks like it's some company called Spamhaus...have applied
Hi,
This is happening again...what the heck is going on with Sky Broadband...I'm able to connect via EE with no issue but my webmail is completely blocked on Outlook, Web and Phone..
I'm a freelancer and I'm using my own companies email address. Over the last few months its been quite flaky on Sky yet outside of our home it works fine.
I'm now unable to login to it at all, on web and outlook it fails to let me login. Are sky blocking the address or worse the IP? Broadband sheild is disabled as well.
@irwin76 Sky only block addresses thst are subject to a UK court order. Couple of suggestions first add a public DNS address to the network set up onnthe device you use I use Google's at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but Cloudflares on 1.1.1.1 is also popular.
Second suggestion is to usecany one of the free VPN servicescas that bypasses Sky's servers if there is an addressing issue.
@irwin76 Microsoft had a major service issue yesterday so not even sure if it is cleared up yet! You may wish to go take a look see!
Apparently the issue is with Sky blocking IP addresses associated with Roundcube/Webmail accounts.
I shouldn't need to do any of this.
I've been using my email without issues for quite a while and for Sky to just start blocking roundcube and webmail it makes zero sense. Poor darts really.
