Sky WiFi max pods reducing router capability

So I have gigafast and sky WiFi max which is working very will with Sky Q as set up as a 3rd party router as per sky.

we have 3 WiFi max pods which 2 of were installed by a sky expert.

now a couple of months later and my work laptop about a foot away from the main router starts to act really slow with a poor WiFi speed and I go at our IT as I have a perfect 1.2gbs WiFi 6 connection to router on everything else. Really odd my work Dell thinks our home WiFi 6 network is WiFi 5 and the WiFi speed (not internet speed) drops to 2 bars and 245mb

i found then the WiFi on/off  and eventually I turned off the pods and my laptop worked perfectly again

any ideas of why the pods would make the connection so poor??

@Jamesesx

Max pods are WiFi 5.  Only the Max Hub is WiFi 6.

@Jamesesx most likely explanation the laptop was connected to one of the pods rather than the hub. You cannot manually control which unit a device connects to and in theory a device should switch automatically to use the strongest signal but someyimes that doesn't happen. Briefly dropping the Sky WiFi connection and then reconnecting should sort the problem.

Re: Sky WiFi max pods reducing router capability

Surely that can't be right? WiFi 6 Hub, but only WiFi 5 Pods?  That seems rather under spec for what it is supposed to do, no wonder we experienced issues with them. Using the Hub on it's own has been more reliable and faster, and if that is why then it's just plain dissapointing.
