Sky Q box router password

I've tried resetting the Sky Q Router back to factory default as I can't remember the admin password i set a year or so ago.

It doesn't seem to set to factory default despite doing a hardware factory reset via the router itself.

Is this a known problem and how does one sort it?

Allow time for the router to fully start, then press & hold the reset button until the power light changes. That could take up to 20s.

But if you've moved on you can just send it back to Sky as it is. There is no personal data stored in the router.

@Infoeasy & @FLC the admin password is sky not Sky for the flat Sky Q router. To factory reset the unit the reset pin has to be held in until the power led flashes which can take 20 seconds to happen. Release the pin earlier than that and the hub simply reboots
