Sky Q Mini box connection issues

We have a large 5 bed family home and every single wall in the house is solid. We also are a family with 5 children and my parents recently moved into our converted (attached) garage. It's a busy house with a lot of WiFi users so we have the sky broadband package with 900mbps. Sky provided us with a booster which provides reliable, fast WiFi speeds throughout the main house but my parents were having issues connecting in the garage. We bought the Tenda Nova mesh boosters and they are working brilliantly apart from connecting the Sky Q mini box that my parents are using in their living area. The Sky Q mini box is approx 6 years old, so I'm not sure if that has something to do with the issue however, as the box is too far away from our Sky hub or booster, we are connecting is via Ethernet to our Nova boosters. These boosters have the same SSID and password as our Sky hub and all devices in the house merge seamlessly between connection to the Sky hub / booster and the nova boosters BUT the Sky Q mini, when connected to the Nova system has perfect connection but the network name is NOT the network name of our network and therefore, the Sky Q mini box cannot connect to the main Sky Q box.

I have reset boxes, I have removed the Nova system and reset them. I am at a complete loss about what's going on and how to fix it.

I moved the Sky Q mini into a room closer to the Sky hub and main Sky Q box and the connection worked fine, but I need a solution to be able to use the Sky Q mini box in the room I want to.

If anyone knows how to solve this, that would be amazing!!!!

@ColleenHamilton

Q Mini boxes won't connect to non-Sky 'booster' hardware, which is why your Tenda Nova isn't helping.  The Mini needs to be in range of a Sky Q or Sky Broadband booster which is itself getting adequate signal from the main Q box, or you need to work out an ethernet topology to get the Main and Mini boxes onto the same wired network distribution.

@ColleenHamilton the Sky Q mini boxes cannot connect to your Nova wifi units. They have to be connected to a black Sky hub or anotherQ box. In the circumstances you describe the simplest solution might be to connectvthe Q mini in your parents annex to one of the Nova units by ethernet. That should work if it doesnt turn iff go into the engineer's menu on the mini and turn off its wifi - navigatecto settings but enter 0,0,1 on the remote before select.
