Sky Max Pods

Looking to add another 1/2 sky max pods upstairs. My home has very thick walls and the one I received when I got sky max just about hits 20/25Mbps in my sons room but when I was BT and used 1 of their mesh discs I was getting 150+ in the same room (so big difference). Will sky allow me to add another 2 in other rooms upstairs to hopefully piggyback of each other to try and get decent speeds all around the house.

Can the max Pods even handle speeds above 100Mbps or are they bottlenecked to lower speeds and just work to further network signal?

They can handle speeds above 100mbps but if the rooms in question already have good coverage with a speed of 25Mbps+ then they wont offer you any additional pods.

Even if you are eligible for more pods I am pretty sure they require an engineer visit with the second and further ones to ensure its required and configure the mesh properly.

Ah that sucks. BT offered a few discs around the house if wanted, thought Sky would offer more if needed as they're rented so would get them back if I left at end of contract anyway. I will say 25Mbps in my sons bedroom is on a good day not all the time sometimes it'll hit 20Mbps, depends how the internet feels on the day 😂
