Sky Max Hub – WPS Reset Fix for Apple Device Wi-Fi Issues

After upgrading to full fibre with the Sky Max Hub, our Apple devices (iPad and iPhone) struggled to connect to Wi-Fi reliably. I contacted Sky support and was advised to press and hold the WPS button on the router for 40 seconds. This triggered a full reset—flashing orange, then cycling through colours before settling on white. Immediately after, our Apple devices connected without issue. This fix was simple, effective, and resolved a problem that had persisted since installation. However, it wasn’t mentioned during setup, nor is it clearly documented in Sky’s help guides. Given how common Apple devices are, and how WPA3 can cause handshake issues, this reset method should be shared more widely—either during installation or in official troubleshooting resources. Hope this helps others facing similar issues. It’s a small step that makes a big difference.

@KirkWeir If you get the chance take a look with your app that has to be used and see how the WPA mode has been set back after the FF reset you did. WPA3 is great if you are all fruit flavoured devices for all others then that is a different story altogether!

The security is set to WPA-3T (default). So far I have been able to reconnect  android, google and microsoft devices.
