Hi. I need to temporarily change the wifi channels on my Sky Hub. At the moment its set to both 1 (2.4 GHz), 36 (5 GHz). I need to set it it to just 2.4GHz to let a piece of equipment connect. I've followed the instructions, gone into wifi setting. changed the channel to 1 and clicked apply. The screen says its on channel 1 only. When I update the status page it still shows the Hub as being connected to both channel 1 and channel 36 and the piece of equipment won't connect so i know its broadcasting on both channels.
Can someone please help and advise me what to do?
Thanks

Channel 36 is a 5ghz channel therefore can be left alone
Seperate the wifi bands so the 2.4 and 5ghz have seperate ssids and allocate devices as required to the 2.4 ghz wifi
- Log onto router and go to wifi
- Go to 5ghz band and untick synchronise 2.4ghz and 5ghz
- Go to 5ghz ssid and add -5g at the end
- Save
- Go to individual devices and assign wifi band accordingly

Hi Cookie Monster. Thanks for replying so quickly.
Where do I find 5ghz ssid? (I've managed to unsyncronise).
The only ssid I can see on the 5ghz page is a fixed box saying network ssid
Thanks

You should be able to click at the end of the 5ghz ssid and add -5ghz at the end this will give you 2 ssids . The original ssid is now 2.4ghz the one with -5ghz is now obviously 5ghz

Hi.
I've put below a screenshot of the page I'm looking at. I can't see the 5G SSID. Is it a different description or on a different page?
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Luce30Are you trying to do this on a device connected to the Wi-Fi? This will not work and why you are being disconnected. This needs to be done on a wired device .
