Sky Hub Arrived Open

My new Sky Hub arrived today. Although I didn't order it i just renewed my Internet contract. But it was open and the box itself looks scratched. Not sure if its refurbished or what but the seal was broken. Unsure what to do?

I currently have the sky q hub but have been sent a sky broadband hub.

I think the Sky Q hub is being replaced due to it being quite old now and not meeting newer security and telephone service requirements. I would contact Sky and tell them the new hub arrived damaged.

You might not have been expecting a new hub, but a newer unit will provide a number of benefits.

Sky Q hubs won't receive security updates after the new year and are being replaced free of charge (by Broadband hubs). Mine was replaced in February after I received an email from Sky.

@carrie1988 Take a look at the hub inside off the package, sky are sending out Refurb Hubs the only down side is that you have NO idea how old it is or how long it has been used beforehand! As a new returning cust i recieved one off those refurb units but as i had basically little need for it only used it to ensure the service was good!

The hub has scratches. The thing is even if it was a refurb surely the seal should still have been in tact?

@carrie1988 The Refurb side is just so poor and in general is real shoddy, all you can do is complain and say it is Not acceptable condition that your are going to put up with, arrange with sky to get another sent! I would do it for sure, my 4 year old hub that i returned back to sky 2 years ago now, you would have thought that it was brand new and just out the box, some people just do not take care off them, not there's to keep so no ownership!
