Sky Hub 6 Max
Hello Hive brain! Having moved from Virgin, I've just connected my Hub 6.
The reason I moved was that I couldn't connect my Amazon Fire Cube to 6 GHz.
I rang and asked specifically if the Sky Hub 6 was 6 GHz enabled. The internet blurb says it is.
But looking at the router, it seems like Virgin, it's transmitting only 2.4 and 5 GHz!
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Sky Hub 6 Max
@Masterjee @the WiFi Max is a EiFi 6 standard device, so can cope with more devices transmitting & receiving concurrently than earlier WiFi standards. It is restricted to 2.4GHz & 5GHz bands only.
WiFi 6e supports the 2.4 GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands but the Sky WiFi Max router doesn't support WiFi 6e, only WiFi 6.

WiFi 6 (aka 802.11ax) is not inherently 6Ghz: it's '6' as in 'sixth generation' in the iterations of domestic wireless technology going back to 1997.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi_6
Domestic WiFi mostly doesn't transmit in the 6Ghz frequency band: as @CoffeeDrinker indicates, WiFi 6E devices use part of that spectrum slice, but the naming is largely coincidental (and would possibly have been better shunted into the definition for WiFi 7). The Sky Max Hub number is also derived from 'WiFi 6' rather than '6Ghz'.
Currently very few ISP routers are built to the WiFi 6E standard.

Re: Sky Hub 6 Max
LAN on a Cube is limited to 100Mb/s - I was getting 600+ Mb/s when with Vodafone.

Re: Sky Hub 6 Max
@Masterjee And you should still get the same on the Sky Max router with wireless, just not 6Ghz band, if your cube has a 100Mb/s Ethernet port on it may also be better than you think over a wireless connection. Link below for you.
