Sky Hub 4.2 Not Up To Scratch

I've recently moved from BT/EE on the Full Fibre Giga Fast 900 package. I had a WiFi 6 router with boosters with EE and had no issues but since Sky sent me the 4.2 router I'm having issues with WiFi drop outs on my third floor on video calls whilst working even though the router is on the middle floor and my Sky Q mini in the same room as the router has picture lag from a weak WiFi signal. I have a Sky booster to boost the signal from my main Sky Q box downstairs in between which has worked fine before with BT/EE.
Spoke to Sky about upgrading to the Sky WiFi Max router with WiFi 6 with a booster pod only to be told they are unavailable for the foreseeable future!? I want to know where I stand as the router I've been sent is obviously not up to the job.

My speeds are fine but my WiFi signal is terrible. I'm having to run an Ethernet cable from my third floor laptop to the router down a flight of stairs and have gone engineer mode disabled WiFi and connected an Ethernet from the router to the Sky Q mini box to eleviate the lag. Surely a company this size can't be letting customers hash together kit because their base router is not adequate?
Where do I stand in regards to cancelling my contract if this isn't resolved as soon as possible. I've only been with you 3 weeks.
Seriously disappointed.

@JacksonFamily4

You should be on WiFi Max with Sky gigafast, otherwise the package just isnt worth it. I am not sure why Sky wont provide this to you

Re: Sky Hub 4.2 Not Up To Scratch

Sky are still advertising this package with the new WiFi 6 router and pods on their website but after numerous calls to them I have been told these new toucans pods are not available as they hadn't made enough as they were expecting Sky Glass etc to take off so they are selling this product/contract but dishing out the old router 4.2 which is a breach in terms and conditions and can be taken to the Ombudsman over.
They can't give an update on when they will be available they say it could be another month. It has already been a month without them apparently.
Really poor service. They gave me £20 compensation but it just doesn't cut it for me.

Re: Sky Hub 4.2 Not Up To Scratch

@JacksonFamily4 Has been noted on the Forum that there is potential delivery/stock of the Sky Max and it's pods, does not resolve your situation currently, they don't have a couple of SE210's they could throw your way as a temp stop gap to get you out the hole, speed will not be there but at least coverage should be.

Re: Sky Hub 4.2 Not Up To Scratch

Hi Jim

Cheers for the heads up of a potential hub pod stock update.
I'll keep calling them every other day to see if they're available.
It's just time and inconvenience.
