Hello,
Based in Ireland: On Friday, April 4th, an engineer will come to install an overhead line connection, as this is the first time we have fibre.
Once this installation of the overhead is complete, will the WiFi work or is there another step for another engineer?
Thanks!

FTTP requires an active inside device (the Optical Network Terminal) in addition to the ISP router, so that needs fitting too. Whether that's one or two jobs depends on the individual premises and local working practices.
