Re: Sky Fibre not working
Have you got an ONT on your wall & was it already there or has it just been installed? Normally if its a full install then an engineer will normally attend and connect you to the fibre network and install the ONT & connect up your router.
For Sky or any other ISP delivering Full fibre (FTTP) the fiber is brought into your home and connected to an ONT, which is a small white box with its own power supply. There should be three green lights on it, Power PON & LAN.
Your Sky MAX hub is plugged into this using the supplied ethernet cable, from the ONT yellow socket to the WAN socket on the back of the router, this is the right most socket when looking at the back of the router.
If the ONT has a PON light on then it has been provisioned and will provide a service to the Sky router, if its off or you have a red LOS light then you have a problem that will require Sky to resolve.
I remember the Internet starting!
Sky Full Fibre & Virgin Media XGS-PON, with automatic failover using DrayTek multi WAN router.
Sky Q, which will be sadly missed when they decide to kill it off!
