im trying to change my ip adress for my router as i keep getting ddosed on my current allocated ip address, i have left the router off for a few hours but keep getting the same ip when i plug it back in. any ideas anyone

Is that 'fibre' as in FTTC or FTTP?

I'd imagine it's possible that addresses allocated on FTTP are 'stickier' than FTTC.

Also, are you using a Sky Hub or a non-Sky router?
