Sky Broadband is no longer available at my address?
I've just moved into a fairly new flat. For a reason that no one is willing to explain, the property wasn't connected to the fibre network when it was built, and Openreach won't offer me any timescale on when the cabinet might be upgraded. I contacted my property manager, who informed me that the previous tenants had Sky Broadband. When I tried to sign up I was met with the message "Unfortunately Sky Broadband is not available at your address". Did Sky stop accepting new ADSL customers in the last 5 years?

Re: Sky Broadband is no longer available at my address?
Thanks, that's quite a lot of information I don't understand.
I guess this is the important part?
> ADSL, ADSL2+ and SOADSL availability: If shown at FTTP or SOGEA premises,ADSL, ADSL2+ and SOADSL are not available to order due to WLR Withdrawal stop sell rules. CPs should order FTTP or SOGEA. Copper products are only available by exception.

Re: Sky Broadband is no longer available at my address?
There is nothing identifiable in the screenshot. I have cropped out the name of the exchange. I'm still really none the wiser. My flat has an Openreach Master Socket 5C installed, which I guess is due to become obsolete?

Re: Sky Broadband is no longer available at my address?
@Adslhunter there are a number of reasons why the block was not connected to fibre one of which the freeholder did not agree to Openreach installing the infrastructure . If its a fairly block a deal could have been done with one of the Altnets like Hyperoptic to give exclusivity. Sky only offer connections over Openreach and now City Fibre. Re: Sky Broadband is no longer available at my address?
As far as I know, the property is connected to the Openreach network. BT and TalkTalk are willing to offer me broadband packages. There is a Glide cabinet down the street (which appeared around 2020) so I guess there might have been a lack of infrastructure at the time?

Re: Sky Broadband is no longer available at my address?
@Adslhunter You had a VDSL line possibly with a OR 5c master socket and the speeds would be 80/20 or 40/10 split, as a new customer and if it is now withdrawn then sky Will not be able to sell anything to you until Full Fibre becomes available, it is also the same if the waiting list for VDSL becomes available people jump all over that and now nothing for you, some wait years to get it as not everyone can! Your picture will say once it can be looked at!
You can check others like BT/EE/Talk Talk/Plusnet all use OR infrastructure!
