Sky Broadband gone down in Cornwall, PL24

I have just called [content removed]  didn't get a human just a message that they are aware of the issue. At least I have registered I have a issue IF they pay any compensation.

Funny had to put spaces on the phone number or I could not post, probably don't want people calling.

No internet in PL24 

Went down around 10.20pm and still no connection this morning. Been round in circles trying to get help. Have followed all the steps multiple times with no luck.

I've had no internet since last night and still the same. Have reported it to Sky who has said it's showing no outage in the area but there clearly is and it's been reported. Worse can scenario 72 hours to fix!!! Not good when you work from home. I'm in Foxhole PL26

Iv contacted sky by phone.  There is an outage effecting mid cornwall . Open reach has been notified but sky have no updates from open reach as of yet.  They are hoping to have the problem fixed within 48hrs

Thanks for the update.

I have to say the customer support has been appalling. 

When broadband is vital in our lives today, why are Sky uncontactable after 11pm? I phoned before and was told you close at 11!!

Broadband stopped working on 10th March at 10pm why does this happen, apparently it's my router.. so see tomorrow on 12th when new router comes.. can't fault customer service.

Sky call centres have never been 24/7 and to do that the subscription price would need to increase to pay for extra agent and no doubt a shift allowance involved too. 

Not sure of the availability of social media contact overnight.

Update openreach are at St Austell where the issue is and trying to repair it but can take up to 2 days maybe sooner as told at 10am this morning

PL25 Carclaze area service restored however router settings had been reverted back to factory settings,  so I needed to change the network name and password back to the ones we used in order for  devices to get connected again.  Might not be an issue for everyone but this was the circumstances for us
