The Sky Broadband Hub is the default router for Sky FTTP. The Max Hub is an extra cost item through the WiFi Max add-on.

Perhaps also note that Sky isn't currently offering Max at addresses which have Q television Mini boxes or Q boosters on subscription from Sky.

Thanks Timmy, I have sky glass and 1 puck but both myself and my son do a lot of gaming and wondered if its worth the extra cost over the standard hub.

Investing in an ethernet cable solution (preferably) or perhaps Powerline networking is likely to be more advantageous for gaming than 'better' WiFi. Some posts suggest that Max actually adds latency, possibly due to increased local and server-side processing associated with the additional features of the service.

Thanks Timmy, good to get advice from someone who knows about it, all new to me this side of broadband and speeds and latancy.
