Sky Broadband Hub Delivery

Hi!

My Sky Hub is due to arrive tomorrow (Friday) ahead of installation on Monday.

 

The Sky website states that somebody will need to be at home to receive the parcel. However, I have received an email from Royal Mail saying that they won't require a signature. I cannot track the item further as RM won't accept the tracking number.

 

Have any of you had the same problem? This needs to be clearer as it isn't easy to arrange for somebody to receive it.

 

Also, if I do happen to miss the postman - is it sent back to the local post office or back to Sky? I'll definitely need it before Monday!

It does not require a signature but the box doesnt fit through your letter box and some RM employees wont leave a package on your doorstep for someone to nab.

 

If nobody is in they will either leave it with a neighbour or take it to your local DO. If your tracking number does work you should be able to tell them to leave it somewhere/with a neighbour.

Hi, I am in the exact same position (this Friday) did you manage to get it sorted? I won't be in and I'm thinking of leaving a note on the door to deliver it to a neighbour...

@Caitlin140329 far better to let the postman leave a card you can use to pick it up from your local sorting office.

@Mouse4  You are not talking to Sky. What information does it tell you in track orders in my account about your router delivery?

Routers are normally dispatched to arrive a day of two before your activation date.
