Sky Booster Max

Hi Hive Brain, I had a visit from a Sky engineer as the boosters weren't working. I had LAN with CAT6 cable going from the router to the front of the house and to the bedroom. They just wouldn't sync with the router. Even the engineer couldn't get it to work. He said it was a known fault but said there is a firmware update coming soon. Does anyone know any more about this update and when? Thanks 🙏

Re: Sky Booster Max

@Masterjee That will be a reply from one off the superuser's if they are aware of such, and if they would not work with a wired connection back to the hub, would be calling sky as they are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Would they not even work as wi-fi sync'd devices. Did they both fail at the same time to operate or have they never worked.

Had a look through the help, if they cannot be wireless backhauled devices then they are not worth having in the slightest. Try to find out and make your decision from what you learn.

Re: Sky Booster Max

Liked I said, the Sky engineer said that it was a known issue. Neither of the pods were good enough to improve the WiFi speed. Apparently they work on 2.4Ghz.

Re: Sky Booster Max

@Masterjee Not wearing that statement in the slightest from a sky Engineer, NO way that a sky max pod is only working on a 2.4Ghz band, there would have been a major outcry on the Forum with that fact....
