Services Blocked

On Saturday morning my services were restricted as my direct debit didn't go through, an hour or two later I paid online and tried to reinstate my services and I keep getting the message saying restore failed. I have spoken to sky on Saturday and was told it'll be back on within 24 hours, I called back 24 hours later when it wasn't back on, I was told actually it's 48 hours from when the bill is paid so Monday morning it'll reactivate, they offered to call me to confirm it's back on, Monday arrives and no internet and no phone call, I phone sky and speak to a women who says she's unsure what's happening and a complaint has been issued by the original agent on the phone. Then I'm advised this will take up to one week to rectify.

does anyone know a way I can get my services back online faster? I work from home and if I have no internet for a week I'm going to miss out on a weeks wages.

If you had problems  like this as it's  bank holiday  weekend  your services  will  not be reinstated  until  your funds  have  cleared  at sky  so you probably  won't  get your  services  back until  later  this week

Once your full payment has cleared and is in Sky’s account your services should be reinstated, but this may not be instant. (Any payment you make over a weekend or on a Bank Holiday won’t be processed until the following week).

Thank you for this information, very strange that sky didn't inform me this. They've tried several times to reinstate but can't find the issue and even told me my services would be back in on the next 60 minutes when I called this morning.

@JC831 And maybe that your online payment method was approved and done with imediate effect as required and now sky have the issue off re-instating the service, if you do not ask them you are the only one who can!

@JimM1 yes I have spoken to them several times and none of the people I have spoken to have any idea what's causing the issue.
