Serial number in app different to the sky hub label

My serial number is displaying in the app as completely different to the one labelled on my sky hub. The app displayes as connected and has 3 unknown devices connected to it however the box is displaying as no internet connection and won't let me connect to it. Have i been sent the wrong box?
