Seeing wired connections via Sky Router

Really odd one this.

I have two access points that are working fine via ethernet to the sky router. However I'm unable to see the connections in the Sky Router even though I know they are there. Each one has both the Sky SSID and their own.

This also means I cannot log into the AP's as according to the sky router they don;t exist.

Anyone come across this before. I've not changed anything an used to be abel to see them.

@ab54666 You cannot control whether devices connect to which extender or hub it is automatic and devices should roam between units seamlessly if you move them. This is by design and is a feature of mesh wifi networks.

Re: Seeing wired connections via Sky Router

I understand that, but both of my access points are connected to the sky hub via ethernet (otherwise they wouldn't work) - but the sky hub doesn;t show them (yet they are connected).

@ab54666

The Sky routers device list only shows client devices. Depending on the way your access points are identifying themselves it may not show in the Sky routers connected devices. Is there a reason this is an issue for you?

Re: Seeing wired connections via Sky Router

The sky router not showing them (It always showed them before) also means I cannot log into them unless I log into the AP's own wifi SSID, this wasn't the case before.

@ab54666

So it sounds like the Sky hub is denying LAN access to them in some way. This would explain why the internet still works through them but why you cant access the local web interface on them through the Sky hub

Thats what I thought, but can't see anything on the sky router that restricts access (and doesn't restrict to everything, i.e. I can log into other devices).

@ab54666

There isnt any setting on the Sky hub that would be able to do this which is why its odd.

Have you tried factory resetting the Sky hub and your APs?
