SR203 Cables

Why on earth have Sky decided to package such short cables with the SR203 router / hub. My old EE Router had 2.5 metres of each cable allowing the router in the best possible position, but the SR203 has cables of only one metre

If you mean the short ethernet cable then its because Sky assume the router will be next to the ONT. Yuu can always buy a longer one
