SKYA2MBT2.4

Hi

I changed my sky broadband to SKYA2MBT2.4  a few.months ago .

It keeps reverting back to SkYA2mbt

And not the 2.4 .

I need the 2.4 for devices in my house and these do not work when this network is.not available. Can this be fixed on your side please .

I look forward to your reply

Thank you

@Louise317 you are not talking to Sky by posting in this forum but they cannot control what you are asking. Assume you are talking about changing the SSID on your Sky hub. There are possibly two causes for you to see the old SSID. The first is where you reset the hub by pressing the reset pin for 20 seconds on the black hubs or hold in thecWPS button on thecwhite hubs for 30nseconds which causes the unit to switch back to its factory settings.

The second is you have Sky Q boxes which can create a second wireless network using the SSID they used to have. This will happen if you have a white Sky hub as while these can connect to the main Q box any Q minis will use that second network. You cannot connect third party devices to that SSID. It is not possible tomsplit the two WiFinbands on thecwhite hubs as thst wiuld break their WiFi6 capability.

With the black hubs the old SSID can appear if a Q box loses connection to the hub.
