SKY SR102 Hub - Can these be used as a repeater or any other uses

Switching from sky but seems a waste just to bin it and I do need extra ethernet connections in another room. Can these be used as as repeater either wired or wirlessly. Or failing that any other uses for them other than recycling.

Basically looking for it to give me ethernent points in another room rather than as a wifi extender.

Thanks

The 102 is single band (2.4Ghz) 802.11n and a decade old: that's really not particularly desirable in any role.  You might get a few quid on eBay, I guess, but while still in support this model is essentially obsolete.

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

The only thing it would be good for is recycling

Sky Stream , Sky Superfast, SR203 router, Tp link td w9970 + Asus RT AX58U (backup), Xbox Series X, google home mini, LG 43 inch UHD tv, samsung a5 2017 and samsung s21

Re: SKY SR102 Hub - Can these be used as a repeater or any other uses

Thanks for the replies, thought that may be the case as even I've been using a different router for my Sky  login. Forgotten they were 2.4 only, was gonna give my newer one to a friend but guess I'll use that as my repeater as pretty sure that can do it and 2.4/5 bands too.

Recycling it is.

Be aware that all Hubs acquired after 2019 (and some before then) are loaned by Sky, not sold, and so can't legitimately be retained or passed on.  Sky expects these to be returned, and there's a penalty fee for not doing so.
