SKY FULLFIBRE STABILITY

Stability issues with full fibre broadband.  Only had it installed a week and my son constantly complains about gaming.  Has anyone else had this issue and how did sky resolve it .

Yes he is in his bedroom.  However if we do the stability test its bad on all devices. I don't notice anything Internet shopping. Its when hes gaming he has thd most problems

@Tracey165 the connection to the hub is likely to be stable if it isnt the lights on the ONT and the hub will change.

Most likely the issue is poor wifi in your home. Make sure tge hub is out in the open on a surface so the signal is being blocked by furniture and equipment. Beyond that you may need additional equipment to get good wifi in every room. Sky will sell you their WiFi Max package which can give up to 3 extenders or you can buy and use your own equipment.

  • Thank you for your reply. It's not the speed that's the problem, which is good in every room. It the stability of the signal that's the problem.

Re: SKY FULLFIBRE STABILITY

@Tracey165 Have a look at the hub lights and the ONT if you are indeed on a full fibre connection, about the sky hub lights below!

This link providers information about the coloured lights on the various hubs

Re: SKY FULLFIBRE STABILITY

I have created my own post about about similar issue so not trying to hijack your post 😊

My son has also been complaining about the internet on odd days when online gaming otherwise the internet is pretty reliable.

I have a broadband quality setup on my connection for monitoring and it goes crazy in the evening..this graph was last Thursday.

Can I ask you setup your own monitor and share it here please so we can establish we both have similar issues. We no allowed to share links but if you google "Broadband quality monitor" the website is "Thinkbroadband"

It will explain how to setup the monitor..I don't believe it monitors your activity on your browser 😊
