Hi,
I need some help with understanding different router modes for myself. I have recently installed a Deco mesh system to the house network and this works amazingly but I want to properly go over the settings in the Sky broadband hub to make sure that everything is set as it should so I have no problems with double NAT etc.
So there are two modes that I need help understanding:
- DSL Only - I don't think I need this setting.
- WANoE Only - this setting I have searched for far and wide on Google and I can't seem to find out what the explanation is for it and what it does.
If anyone can help me out with this that would be perfect.

Double-NAT is inevitable if there's a Sky Hub in use.

Find out more@Danny11616 are two modes your Deco system can use the first is router mode which will mean youbwill have a double NAT system which normally works well with the Sky hub in its default settings with its wifi turned off. However you can set up the Sky hub so the `deco is in its default settings DMZ basically bypassing the Sky hub's firewall thst can make things like port forwarding etc simpler.
The other Deco mode sets the system to act as Access Points. This is simpler as the Sky hub performs routing services leaving the Deco units to act as WiFi access points I run my own Deco system in this set up which gives meca stable fast network .
In either case the Sky hub remains in its default setting with WiFi disabled.
