Router Return Not Recorded

I cancelled my Sky broadband two and a half months ago. I never received packaging for the router return. I queried twice online, was told that I had to return it myself, then printed a label and returned it via the post office. I've had no acknowledgement of receipt. My account still states that Sky are awaiting return of the router. The whole episode has been very unprofessional. I'm concerned that I will be chased for an already-returbed piece of kit. I'm also very disappointed that I am forced down this online route for some type of response. What on earth can I do to get any update?

When you return it did you get a receipt or proof of posting because if you did you can call Sky with this (before 18.00 today) and give the tracking information to them as they should be able to update your account.
