Ring and Alexa App Cannot connect to sky Q router

Router connection SKY Q Router

I have tried multiple times, even sitting right next to the router with Ring phone with Ring App

I get

"You entered for net work sky number ***** number is incorrect please try again"

I know that password is correct. Any help, please.

@Mraitch normally the easiest way round problems like this is to tell the app or device to forget the connection, reboot or restart and try from scratch.

Depending on which Ring unit you have some do not like the dualband wifinSSID Sky hubs produce if you suspect thst you need to separate the two wifi bands and connect to,the 2.4GHz band see Split Sky WiFi bands

Re: Ring and Alexa App Cannot connect to sky Q router

Many thanks, my friend.

I have tried reboot

At first, the Ring app was telling me that I had the wrong password. I do not think I have as I do not remember changing it from the password printed in the router but I may have. I can’t remember

Now it tells me I have ni internet connection, I have. Then it reverts back to the password again.

I have gone into the router parameters, 192.168.0.1, to effect a change and it is asking me for to sign in. I used Username: admin Password: admin. Now it says it needs authorisation. I do not know what my authorisation should be.

My router status is

Broadband Connected

Wireless Enabled

Wireless Network Name (SSID) SKY85181

Wireless Network Visible Yes

Current Wireless Channel  (2.4 GHz) Ch 1 @20MHz (5 GHz) Ch 36 @80MHz

Wireless Encryption WPA2-PSK
