Replacing very old router

Hi,

MY Sky boradband router is over 6 years old and very ropey at this point. How do I go about getting a replacement?

You would need to call sky on 150 from your sky landline or

Contact sky as below

Follow the link and choose need more help

If in the Republic of Ireland go to the bottom of the page and change the flag to Republic of Ireland

Re: Replacing very old router

Thanks,

I've been through the help sections on the website and my power light is flashing orange. Has been for over 30 mins now and even after a reset. I think I need a replacement hub. I would rather not speak to someone on the phone due to health issues. Can you help?

power light is flashing orange

That would tend to suggest a fault on the line

Can you run tests on your my sky app using 4g/5g mobile data. If it detects an external issue it should let you book an engineer

Re: Replacing very old router

It's and sr102 which I beleive is basucally obsolete at this point? Doesn't even do 5ghz. Can I just be sent a newer model? Have been a customer for 6 years now and this seems reasonable?

You could try that but it won't fix a likely line fault

Re: Replacing very old router

Thank you for helping. I've seen posts before where sky employees have been looped in to the chat to resolve. The router lights have back to normal now. Just the same old crappy signal...

I'm surprised there isn't an easy way to request a new router on the sky website

Try calling sky today per the link above.

I haven't seen community managers posting today so the earliest they could would be tomorrow.

If you have difficulties getting it resolved this evening certainly post again and we can queue you up for a chat session

Re: Replacing very old router

I've been through all the help and I believe the problem is my old model of the Sky Hub. How do I get a updated model/replacement?

@Hanbanan55 I am not sure if the Sky team who support the forum can help but I have escalated your post to them. They should send you an invitation to an online chat session through the forum where a chat icon will appear.
