Hi, I read recently that Sky are replacing old routers with new ones as they will no longer be updated from 2025, and emails would be sent to affected users asking them to claim their new routers by early June. Can someone confirm whether this is correct, as I've not had an email and my router is 14 years old. I'm using Sky+

Any hardware of that vintage shouldn't still be in use anyway, irrespective of what else is happening: it will be long out of support, unpatched and potentially vulnerable.
The extreme age suggests Sky has lost track of it: the models being proactively swapped out are the 2013 Sky Hub and 2016 Q Hub.
I think you'll need to contact them yourself rather than waiting for communication.
Edit: if it's a Netgear-branded Sky router or one issued before Sky acquired O2 and BE broadband then Sky almost certainly don't have a record of it, so ironically it won't be scheduled for replacement during the current swap: you should absolutely seek to do this though.

Re: Replacing old routers
Is there a way to contact them about this online/through email/without calling?
