Re: Replacing a **really** old router
I am just trying to find the middle ground between "My Internet is poor" and "I don't want to deal with new contracts."
If - as JimM1 mentioned - they start talking about moving to Full Fibre she would just not bother with it....
If a SR203 Hub 4 would just plug and play, I would be quite happy to pay for it myself and give it to her if it works. But then I am the sort of idiot that paid out for £150 of kit to give anywhere family member a one touch touch screen remote for her favourite Sky Q channels.

Re: Replacing a **really** old router
@VillageYokel As the reply on post 15 from @Chrisee YOU GET the new SR203 FREE swapout for that old D-Link, it's newer in operation as a sky Hub may be a few items that throw there hands up in the air because off the dual band operation but that is all......
YOU do not want anything else, as soon as ANY recontract is mentioned from YOUR posting then it would be guided towards a FF Full Fibre Installation, going to happen some day, but that can wait, OR may just turn round next week and say sorry you get Fibre or you have NOTHING, and landline phone is going SOGEA Jan2027 as far as OR is concerened NO MORE delay's it's going to happen.....

Ahhhh my apologies.
I thought you meant that they would absolutely push down the fibre route. I think I got the wrong end of the stick.

Re: Replacing a **really** old router
So I sat with my mother while I spoke to Sky today. The **only** option is to upgrade to full fibre and a new contract. So she told me not to bother.
So thank you everyone for your help, but it looks like the free swap out is no longer available.
