Wanting adaptive or bandwidth QoS requires a router set up to obtain the public ip address. In this case that can only be obtained via the modem/router setup that @AshleyC1994 is suggesting. The router in question is wifi 6 mu mimo with ofdma and adaptive qos therefore fulfills both requirements

Thank you. Hopefully set-up is straight forward.
Brought the ASUS router last year for a steal - £85 + Cashback.
I believe it's all 'plug and play' with the ASUS (Option 61 etc etc)

Brought last year from Amazon France - Warehouse Deal where they have 20% off open box etc.
ASUS were also doing cashback (Think it was £25)
Best place to keep tabs of pricing is on HotUKDeals, and when Amazon are doing Warehouse 20% off open box deals.

I am impressed. Adaptive qos. I believe also a 2.5Gbps dedicated gaming ethernet that even prioritises the attached device over and above the adaptive qos 👍

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI delivered my thoughts in a perfectly acceptable manner. The original question was which 3rd party setup would suit best. Even after your questions and op stating they wanted QoS you still tried to push powerline adapters and boosters from sky which at that point becomes off topic noise because that is not the question they asked.

Wanted to get QoS, and i'm finding the SR203 range to be very poor.

That's a nice simple option to help with the range, but as you mention, it wouldn't offer QoS. This advice may still be useful for someone else.
Looks like other good options have also been suggested to the OP. 🙂
