Set up hub without home phone

Hello

There was a step in set up guide to insert the home phone. However, I do not need a land phone. 

I wonder if I can set up the hub without connecting the hub to home phone.

Yes you dont need to use a phone if you dont want to. Just connect the hub as normal and forget the phone
