Hello all, recently, I've been getting much worse packet loss than usual, mainly when I play Valorant. It went from every few games (mainly when I try to do something else like watch youtube alongside gaming) to every game without fail. I will often lose 100s to 1000s of packets, and can even have spikes of 100% packet loss. I sometimes get bad ping spikes too, along with bad latency, occasionally to 300/400ms+ (although usually when I do get these spikes, it's to around 100ms). I have some videos of it recorded, although I can't attach them here. I can provide more examples if needs be. Spikes like the ones I provided in the images normally happen multiple times a game.
I'm not very tech savvy, so I'm not too sure what to do. I believe I'm on ethernet/powerline, and also a wired connection. I've tried many things including stuff like flushing my DNS and more. although I can't do much since I'm currently living at my parents. I don't know all that much about the hub I'm using either. I think I'm the only one using this specific hub. I know we're not on fibre and I think my dad said we have a 50mb download speed? I'll try and find out more details if possible, but I really don't have many details which I'm sorry about.

First thing to check is whether there is wifi interference which is extremly common and is the reason why it is recommendedd to use a wired connection for online gaming. An alternative to direct connection is to buy a set of Powerline adapters which use your home's mains wiring to carry the data which is usually far better than poor wifi
Assuming an ethernet cable is not a possibility download an app called Wifi Analyzer onto an Android phone or Windows laptop which will show what wifi network signals are within rznge. A signal from a different network on the same or adjacent channel can cause packet loss. Rebooting your Sky hub will cause it to use the least congested channel but that is near it's location not in your room.
If the packet loss coincides with say other family members watching Netflix etc then it could simply be a combination of bandwidth and the hub not being able to deal with multiple requests fast enough. Sky hubs are not the most powerful routers so if you have a large family where multiple users are trying to stream video etc at once the hub can run out of puff but if the connection is limited to 50Mb/s simply thst may not be enough.
