Re: Question
@DJMcKenzie87 forum members are customers so we cannot look at your profile but Sky's practice is that where a line has a handback speed of around 40Mb/s they provision the line on a 40/10 profile not 80/20.

Re: Question
I am aware of this, but after the 10-day monitoring period, they can allocate up to 80/20 Profile. This allows me to achieve 56 megs of download and 16 megs of upload, as I have previously requested. This was the case when I was with Plusnet, and prior to my tenure with SSE Broadband. Therefore, I am confident in my experience.

@DJMcKenzie87 in my experience based on 10 years on this forum Sky do not follow this practice. Your handback speed is under 40Mb/s so based on what we know of Sky's policies there is no chance of provision at 80/20. Other isps may have different policies I can only speak from what I have found out from previous posts and informal discussions with Sky staff.
Provisioning decisions are taken by Sky's network teams so have in the past been different from "promises" made by Customer Services reps..
