I am moving to a new home which has its own broadband, and I have been told that even if I wanted to take my broadband hub with me (which is Sky), I will not find sockets.
So, how such a situation can be sorted out?
Provided that I would have carried on with Sky broadband unless not obliged to opt out because of my home move..

That's somewhat ambiguous, but possibly suggests that there's simply no choice in ISP at the new address: this is unusual, but not unknown, particularly in new-build properties.
I suspect Sky doesn't have to release you from a minimum term contract without penalty in those circumstances, because your choice to move to somewhere they cannot supply does not negate the existing contract terms. However, I believe they typically are prepared to do so.
