So last night christmas eve the Internet went down due to an external bt issue. I received a text message to say it's now been resolved at 9am christmas day. However it had not. Only 2 lights on power and WiFi. No Internet. After sky helpline tested the line they said the line is working with phone calls able to be called and received. So the problem is with the gear. So we tried the adsl line and resetting everything multiple times. Tried an older sky router but still the same. Tried a new micro filter but still the same and tried new modem cable still no Internet. So now left with nothing and they don't know why. It's 3 days until an engineer can possibly get to us.... Any ideas anyone? Thanks

It sounds like you've tried everything possible, which suggests there's a problem external to the address and for that you've no option but to wait for Openreach to be back at work.
