Hi, since getting the new white router last Sunday my Ps5 connection speed(download) has dropped from 65 mbps to 55 mbps,(tested again whilst i typed this out it's now 50)When testing the other devices in the home they stay at around the 65 mark. It's now taking longer to download games when before for instance it would around half the time, example a file size of 112.677 gb is now taking 4 hrs and 45 minutes to download. I'm on superfast broadband if this helps. Thanks for reading, Chris

@chrisn78 the PS5 supports Wifi6 as does the WifiMax hub that standard uses both bands at once so I wouldn't worry too much about what the is being reported. The 5GHz band has less range and pentrates solid objects less well due to its higher frequency but can carry more data. The limited speed you sre seeing implies a maginal wifi dignal is getting to the console.
Is it practical to use etherenet cablling? Not so much for extra bandwidth but for reliability and better game play. Alternstively powerline networking is a second choice.

Re: Ps5 connection speed lower than bef
@chrisn78 that is a bit odd if the hub and the PS5 are in the same positions as before and it has had timevto optimise the conndction. One issue with the new hub is you cannot manually change channels but the hub should in theory pick the best channel to use.
You could try restarting thehub as that should make it scan the wifi bands again.

Re: Ps5 connection speed lower than bef
Thanks for the reply. The router and the Ps5 are in the same place as before i've noticed that the Ps5 will switch between 2,4 ghz and 5 ghz wifi frequency(it's now on 5 ghz and it's now 44.6 mbps download the upload is 18.2 mbps). Can't figure why the download speed on the Ps5 has become erratic as of Sunday as typing the download is now 60.7 mbps.
