Power cable for Wi-Fi booster

I have the new Wi-Fi booster. It has a 12v power cable but I need an extension cable for it to reach the nearest plug.

However, I have bought a 5.5mmx2.1mm extension cable but simply DOESNT FIT.

It appears that the Sky fitting isn't the standard 5.5x2.1mm connector.

Anyone else have this problem ?

Do I have to cut the cable and make my own extension ?

Re: Power cable for Wi-Fi booster

Can't you just use a mains extension lead instead?

2.1mm X 5.5mm is the usual size, but there were some that are a different size, was a thread on this forum about it, some time  last year.

Thanks. Yes. Of course.  But didn't want all that clutter on a wall !

Did you ever find out what size extension cable to get? I've just found this thread having same issues with extension  cables not fitting to run up and round over a door. Cannot find this phantom other thread! Thanks
