Possibly daft technical question about FTTP install!

I am encouraging my technophobe sister, also a current Sky customer, to upgrade to FTTP + digital voice as her current 'contract' ends soon. The major work in her street concluded some time ago, and the checker lists her address as "Single Dwelling Unit Residential OH Feed with no anticipated issues". I understand that an Openreach (or possibly Sky) engineer will fit an external box to the house up on the facia near the legacy connection (same height as the pole). However, instead of running down the outside wall and entering the house on the ground floor near the old master socket, we would prefer the new line to enter on the first floor. I actually extended the phone line to this location some years ago, so a 10mm hole already exists, and the CAT-5 cable & secondary BT socket I fitted can obviously be disgarded.

In my mind I have prepared the way for an easier installation - now they would just need to run the new cable down from the facia,  along the wall and into an upstairs bedroom through a pre-drilled hole to site the ONT. Am I right, or would they insist on installing the ONT where the old BT Master socket is?

@JB_197 what you describe sounds perfectly possible but the exact set up would need confirming by the engineer on the day. They are norma lly friendly and helpful.

Sky are using their own engineers where possible but it could be an Openreach engineer or even one of their subcontractors it varies.
