My broadband isn’t working the way it was advertised.

We recently got the sky 'ultrafast+' deal, however, it doesn't work the majority of the times to the speed it advertised and also is basically unable to reach certain rooms.

We live in a 3 story house which is quite skinny, the router is in the living room (on the second floor), with this being the only place it can be set up.  The floor above, where most of us in the house live, rarely gets the speeds advertised, making gaming / streaming incredibly difficult and slow.  It fluctuates in speeds between 20-50mb download and even lower on upload.

The ground floor, which has one bedroom not more than 15 feet away on the router above has incredibly weak wifi, to the point where I cant even test the speeds because it cuts from wifi to mobile data.

How do I have this issues resolved?  The speeds the broadcast boasts aren't anywhere near met and the 'wall to wifi guarantee' also isn't met.

Guaranteed Minimum Download Speed is that delivered to the router over the optical cable.  This is entirely different to a guaranteed WiFi speed (which really is a guarantee at all)

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.

Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.

Thanks mate, how would I go about getting a booster then?  Do I have to wait out the 14 day period, and if so will I have to buy one myself or will sky provide one to resolve the problem.

You shouldn't find any Max pucks available anywhere but on loan through Sky.
