Possible sky scam to my broadband being down

Left a thread yesterday about my broadband down (still is)

Had an email from Irene Morgan to leave my phone number with her which I did

They called me back (from a mobile)and because I was reluctant to give my password out and pin (they asked for the full password) they wanted me to go through my phone and give them a one time verification on my Gmail security?

I didn't give my full password and told them it was dodgy and they persisted with me and I didn't give the full verification away on my phone either

Is this correct sky troubleshooting procedures?

Also the email address from Irene Morgan was an @mail account
